The Winston-Salem Symphony opened their 2012-2013 season with this program from September of 2012. After the most popular of the three Leonore Overtures by Beethoven the concert shifts to the austere beauty of Sibelius’ Violin Concerto. The second half of the concert features the most popular symphony by the iconic American composer Aaron Copland.
